Rock The Republic

After an amazing inaugural event in 2009, the renegades at Rock The Republic (RTR) are gearing up for this year's “Spectacle of Sight and Sound!” That's right...RTR will return to downtown Bryan on October 21-23, 2010. Last year, over 3,500 bad-asses descended upon downtown Bryan Texas to experience 3 ridiculous nights with the best upcoming bands, spoken word poets, and artists from regions throughout the state of Texas. Featured acts in 2009 included Texas Rock Royalty such as: The Black and White Years, Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights, Blacklisted Individuals, Suzanna Choffel, and many more. While many RTR fans were being blown away by the best up-and-coming bands that Texas has to offer, others were crowding into RTR venues to be rocked by HBO DEF poets like Joaquin Zihuatanejo, Buddy Wakefield, and packing church parking lots at 3 am to witness Christopher Michael become the first RTR slam poetry champion in history. This year Rock The Republic is bringing back favorite bands and searching for more unique and exciting artists to blaze the Texas night.
